Healthy Skin!

I have always had a bit of an issue with my skin. My skin can go from being as dry as a desert to oily and covered in acne in the blink of an eye. After trying multiple products and not finding anything that really helped, I gave up but I decided that nothing would happen if I gave up so I have made a "skin routine" if I can call it that and I have a few products that are making a huge difference.
The Body Shop- Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask

First off, I wandered into the Body Shop because I was looking for one of my favorite lip balms, (I can talk about that in another post) when a woman came up to me asking if I had tried one of their face masks. Since I was in a hurry, I kindly accepted (although it wasn't the cheapest face mask...) and went on my way. I actually LOVE this facemask.

First you apply their Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator to open up your pores and then you apply a thin layer of the mask all over your face for about 10 minutes. I love it because you can see your pores open through the mask (it makes me feel like its actually working if that makes sense?). After I take it off it takes away so many blackheads and leaves my skin super soft.

I do this about 2 times a week, usually Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Costco- Borghese Nourishing Protective Moisturizer
Next is a cream that I had been using for a while and then stopped and now I have started again. I used to use a cream called La Mer which is amazing but it is ridiculously expensive so I needed to find an alternative.

They sell this at Costco at a low price and it keeps my skin from getting dry, especially now that swim season is about to begin and the chlorine absolutely kills my skin. I don't think it does much for my acne, but that is ok because of the next product.

I use this every day in the morning and sometimes at night depending on how my skin is.

Macy's- Clarisonic Mia

Last but definitely not least, this product is the most important of all. It is not the cheapest, but they had a special offer at Macy's and it is worth every cent!

I use this every morning and night and it is has worked wonders. It leaves your face very soft and feeling fresh and I saw results only a few days after using it. I use this with their Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser (bottom left) OR the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash- Pink Grapefruit (bottom right).

All of these products used together have made me feel a lot more comfortable and fresh, I haven't used any makeup-related skin products on my face for about a week!
As annoying as it may sound, drinking lots of water also helps your skin!

Healthy Choices?

Recently I have been trying to live a healthier and better lifestyle. I've been working out a lot more, carrying a water bottle everywhere I go, and eating less junk food and more healthy food like fruits and veggies. I'm not exaggerating when I say I feel like a new person; I'm a lot more energetic and I feel cleansed.

Now where am I going with this... sometimes healthy food can get a little bit boring if you don't mix things up and try new things. One of the easiest things to make is a smoothie because you really can't go wrong as long as you like all the fruits and/or veggies you're putting into it. It feels amazing after a workout and its always nice to see what color your smoothie will turn out!

I have so much fruit sitting in my fridge so I picked a few of my favorites:

Ingredients:
1 peach (peeled)
1 pear (peeled)
1 banana
5 strawberries
1/4 of a cup of blackberries
1/2 a cup of raspberries
the juice of 1 orange
1/4 of a cup of water (optional according to what texture you want)

Ta-Da! This made a little over 4 glasses (like the one above). If you read this and tried out the recipe or made your own smoothie, give me recipes! I think I'm obsessed with smoothies now...

Favorite Youtubers

Wanting to be a Youtuber myself sometime in the future, I have many Youtubers I look up to and enjoy watching. Today I will share 10 of my favorite Youtubers with you (in no particular order).

1. Niga Higa

Niga Higa was the very first Youtuber I ever started watching. I remember only coming onto Youtube for his videos and spending hours crying of laughter over his "How To" videos like How to Be Ninja and How to Be Emo. Great videos if you want to leave what you're doing and just laugh for a bit. Definetely one of my favorites.

2. Zoella (Zoe Sugg)
Zoella is currently my favorite Youtuber. I love watching her videos and her vlogs which give you a tiny glimpse into her private life. She has the life I dream of having, an apartment all to herself by the beach (even though she has not given a proper apartment tour, it looks so nice and I could go on forever), she is publishing books, she is stunning and has an amazing fashion sense, she is doing what she loves, etc etc. Her videos are makeup, hauls, videos with friends, and more.

3. Pewdiepie

I had a very big obsession not too long ago over Pewdiepie. He has the most subscribers on all of youtube and he works so hard for it, uploading more than 10 videos a week at times. Along with the entertainment of watching someone play a video game, Pewdiepie adds his own little laughs and comments that is really the main entertainment of his videos. You will cry from laughter... maybe even pee yourself....

4. Bad Lip Readings

I found this account about a year ago and since then it has grown so much. This account basically takes scenes from movies, such as the Hunger Games, takes out the sound, and adds in their own sound with phrases that make it look as if the characters are actually saying them...does that make sense? All I can say is that I have watched all of their videos about 50 times and I still cry.

5. JacksGap

This Youtube account was started by Jack Harries and then his twin, Finn Harries, joined in but now that he is in college, Jack has the account to himself. Its called JacksGap because he meant to have it as a hobby for his Gap Year but ended up continuing with it. I love this channel because Jack is so talented in everything and anything that has to do with filming and photography. He is constantly travelling and I encourage you to follow him on instagram because his posts are breathtaking.

6. Paint

Paint, also known as Jon Cozart, just recently started gaining a lot of subscribers after his "After Ever After Parody" music video. He uses the rhythm of songs but changes the lyrics. He only uses his voice for sound and what makes him unique is that he has four of him singing at the same time... that sounds strange but it makes sense once you watch his videos. Super talented, and his songs will be replaying in your head all day long.

7. Convos with My Two Year Old

Not a very popular channel, but I stumbled upon it on Tumblr. It is a channel run by two grown men who reenact conversations with one of their two year olds (kind of obvious by the channel's name). Situations that you wouldn't typically find funny are made hilarious when a grown  man with a pink hair clip acts as a little girl.

8. Tanya Burr

One of my favorite makeup channels. Tanya is part of that 'British Youtubers Community' that includes others such as Zoella, JacksGap, Caspar Lee, Marcus Butler, and plenty more. Her tutorials range from all kinds of styles so you'll most likely find something you enjoy. She does a good job of explaining step by step and that can be really helpful when it comes to makeup...

9. Fine Bros

Here's a channel where people react to (mostly) popular youtube videos. There are separate categories: kids, teens, elders, youtubers, and celebrities. You get to watch entertaining youtube videos AND see the reactions of other people, some of them including your favorite youtubers!

10. Bored Shorts Tv

Another channel that is not very popular that I stumbled upon on Tumblr. They basically sit kids down and make them tell stories, which adults reenact by lip talking what the children are saying. Kind of like Convos With My Two Year Old... something different and amusing.

Comments and suggestions are welcome, thank you for reading!
